As Super Bowl XL heats up on television, it also heats up our appetites. Here are some interesting stats -- not on the players but on what we'll be consuming as the Pittsburgh Steelers take on the Seattle Seahawks at Detroit's Ford Field this Sunday.

Where you watch/what you eat

According to National Restaurant Association research, roughly one in seven (15 percent) Americans order takeout or or have food delivered for the Super Bowl. For viewers ages 18-34 , that figure is predicted to rise to 22 percent this year. In addition, almost one in 20 Americans (4 percent) watch the big game at a restaurant or bar.

Wings

If you want chicken wings, you can find them at any of the 12 Duffy's Sports Grill locations. Before the game is over, they will serve 6 tons of them, according to director of marketing Sandy Nelson.

"Original" is the flavor of choice. It's predicted that over 5,500 pounds of wings or 48 percent of them will be ordered that way. "It's the mildest that we offer, but it has a little more bite than most other `milds.'" Nelson says.

"Hot" will be requested for 28 percent or over 3,300 pounds of the wings; 17 percent or more than a ton will be ordered with honey-garlic and 7 percent or about 850 pounds will get the Death Sauce (that's really hot).
